Tone is made by one person, so replies come from me directly. It helps if you mention your Apple TV model, your tvOS version, and which Sonos speakers you have.
Tone can't find my speakers
Nearly always this is the local network permission. Tone asks for it the first time you open the app, and it cannot discover anything without it. On your Apple TV, open Settings → General → Privacy & Security → Local Network and confirm Tone is switched on.
If it is on, check that your Apple TV and your Sonos speakers are on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest networks and separate 2.4GHz / 5GHz network names are the usual culprits. The two devices have to be able to see each other.
Nothing happens when I press a button
Some sources support fewer controls than others. A record playing through line-in can't be skipped, so Tone doesn't offer skip for it. The controls Tone shows are the ones the current source actually supports.
The volume moves in the app but not on the speaker
If the speaker is part of a group, volume applies to the whole group rather than one speaker. Check whether the room is grouped in your Sonos app.
Can I browse my music library?
No. Tone is a remote, not a player. You start music however you already do, and Tone takes over from there. Your Sonos Favorites are the exception: hold Play/Pause to bring them up.
Which remotes does Tone work with?
Any Apple TV remote. Tone uses the directional buttons, Select, Play/Pause and Back, so the current Siri Remote and older ones both work.
Requesting a feature
Worth asking. Tone is deliberately small, and some things are left out on purpose, but I'd rather hear the request than not.
Privacy
Tone collects nothing at all: no analytics, no accounts, no telemetry. The privacy policy explains exactly what the app does and doesn't do.
